Grape hyacinth

This patch of grape hyacinth has been expanding nicely. There are 2 varieties growing here.
We ended up working on 5 properties today. 2 small ones and 3 mid size ones. The homeowner had already done some raking at the first property so there wasn't as much for us to do. He called later and asked us to come back, he said there was one area in the front that got missed. I thought we got everything, but I told him we would come back on Thursday morning. He was out for the morning so I didn't see him at all. The other 4 properties are monthly maintenance ones that I have been going to for at least 4 years.
Tonight I went out for supper with the travel/social group. 16 of us there. I thought there was supposed to be 21, but some people didn't show up.
Last night I sent out an email to my brunch group. One woman stopped buying 50/50 tickets when we raised the price to $5 from $2. Then one of the men stopped buying tickets this year because he ended up being sick the night of the Christmas party, so he didn't get the $50 that people attending the dinner received. One of the other members was sick that night too but she never asked for her $50. Another member, who can only go to the Dartmouth brunches, she always buys tickets, but rarely gets to go to the Christmas party, she never complains. With her, I do make a point of having one other paid event in Dartmouth so she can attend. The 2 that won't buy tickets now, they are a couple, but won't admit to being a couple, they just sit together at brunch and don't bother talking to anyone else.
On Sunday, Judy was sitting at the end of one table set up for 8 people. Donna came in and asked Judy if she could sit at the table and she asked Judy if Kevin was coming. Judy claimed she didn't know. But Kevin was already there, he had come in and went to the washroom. Judy moved so Donna could sit down, then she immediately went to the other table so Kevin could sit there with her. Donna and Kevin dated a few times several years ago, and Judy doesn't like it when Donna sits with them. Judy has always been an odd one, she doesn't like sitting with anyone. One other time at brunch, she actually got up and moved to a table by herself because she didn't like the person who sat beside her, and by that time there were no other end chairs for her. She would not sit in the middle of a table. I'm sure no one is going to miss having her in the group.
