Perfect
All my gardening life I have been fighting dandelions. They just spread too many seeds.
Now today I saw this absolutely perfect dandelion, in the soft soil outside the nursery who often invites me to a little pit stop on my way to Eugene. Such a beautiful healthy plant! Those leaves like spears…
The three phases of the blooming: the yellow flower, then the closed flower and then opening this perfectly round cradle for all it’s babies….all in this one picture and plant!
Another miracle of nature!
This is absolutely perfect and beautiful.
But when millions of these plants take root in your garden or lawn, they kill everything else around them.
‘Nothing too much’ was one of the antique Greek values/virtues.
