The three mills

In an attempt to find new angles to old motifs are here the three mills, The Prince, The Queen and  The King, the largest mill of this kind on Öland. I walk past them every time I walk to the shop, today as a part of my walk.

The morning started with a meeting at the theatre in Kalmar, we have recently got a new boss in the Culture department, a very interesting personality with lots of experience from a wide field during his professional life, like being a director in China and India, Actor in Stockholm and  bureaucrat at the culture department in the extreme north of Sweden. He knows what he's doing and what he wants to do and he has a mandate to develop culture in Kalmar, not cutting it. I'm looking forward to working under him.

My walk revealed the very low (for Öland) water levels in the watering ponds for the season. There has hardly been any rain at all this year and the water will probably have to be rationed later in the summer season to be enough for the cattle and crops. Extra.
