Two Birdies

I photographed two birdies that I saw on the golf course on today’s walk.  That’s two birdies more than I ever marked down on my scorecard when I played golf round here!

The pheasant rules the roost on the 18h hole as it patrols the fairway going from one gorse bush to another just like many golfers!  Haven’t worked out yet which one conceals its nest. 

At the far end of the course the yellowhammer watches from the top of its perch on the gorse, as golfers search, unsuccessfully, for their golf balls in the deep rough.  Doubtless it finds their frustration very entertaining!
