The roofer/guttering chap came this morning at 10am as promised.  He couldn't start the guttering work here yesterday as he was still working on another job round the corner ( would have been nice if he could have let me know this yesterday ). Anyway he wanted to talk to me this morning about soffits ( soffits are the underside of a roof overhang -  flat boards which cover the area between the fascia and the wall of a building ).  He thinks mine need replacing - they are the original wood ones and are painted blue.  New white ones would look better and match the new guttering.  The added cost isn't much so I agreed that this extra bit of work could be done.  Hes coming back on Monday make a start on the job.

This afternoon I got a bus to the Metrocentre.  As my replacement bus pass hasn't arrived yet I had to pay the bus fare. £5 for a return ticket.  I hope the new pass arrives before I need to use the bus again.

I had an appointment at the Eye Clinic at the Metrocentre for a repeat of the glaucoma tests I did on 21st March. ( flashing light test and retinal scans ) I should hear within 2 weeks re an appointment date to see a doctor at the clinic.

Did a bit of shopping before getting the bus home.  My back was aching so I decided to go to bed for a while.  In the end I slept for 4 hrs and didn't surface until 9pm.  Then it was time for a late evening meal.
