Sheela na gig

Mrs L had to go to Church Stretton this morning so I dropped her off and went up to St Laurence's to look at the stained glass. When I arrived there was a service in progress so I had a wander around the outside first. Above the door on the north side of the building I spotted this crude Sheela na gig figure inserted into the church wall. Carved from a different stone, and much weathered, it is believed to have come from an earlier 12th century chapel on the same site.
