Lingen Vallet

This afternoon we walked a beautiful section of the Herefordshire Trail starting from Lingen. For several miles the path traversed through a series of wonderful bluebell woods - Higgin Hole, Lingen Vallet, Down's Wood, Birchen Coppice. Then a couple of quiet lanes, filled with hyper-active butterflies (we counted nine species including more than twenty green-veined whites), took us onto the Mortimer Trail and back to our starting point.
