Tin Tabernacles of 2025 #6, #7 and #8

Woke up this morning in Garve after a very pleasant crossing from Stornoway on MV Loch Seaforth. A quiet and comfortable boat. No engine noise to speak of. Tonight we will be in Strathcarron after the trip to three more tabernacles.

The main the is the last visited - the abandoned Free Presbyterian Church mission at Ardaneaskan. I liked the way the ivy is growing up the gable end.

Extra 1 is at Badcaul on Little Loch Broom. It had been a Free Church and is now used by a furniture restorer as a workshop.

Extra 2 is the recently closed United Free/Church of Scotland at Kinlochewe.

Frustratingly, as I blip, we are waiting for a bit of resurfaced road to be passable. It is very hot and the new tar is so tacky that it can't be driven on.  Nothing else you can do with single track roads which need to be repaired.

Later: we got underway at last and to Strathcarron. It's a beautiful day. There are lots of walkers here. Home tomorrow. Today was a bit of a convoluted journey - tomorrow more miles but more straightforward, I hope!
