Nice Work if You Can Get It

The trouble is, I could get used to this continental type weather, when every day brings sunshine, warmth and no rain. I tripped down to Princes Street to catch an earlier bus to the beach which has the benefit of a quicker journey but the disadvantage of a longer wait on the sand for the group of BlueTits to arrive. On a morning like today, sitting on the groyne in the sunshine watching the world go by was a joy, not a problem.

I was intrigued watching the tractor methodically raking the sand thinking what a great job the driver had making patterns on a wide expanse of beach. Towards Fife, Mossmorran Ethylene Plant  near Cowdenbeath was letting  off steam, so white against the blue sky and an aeroplane high up left a white vapour trail as it winged its way east.

To put the proverbial cherry on the cake, I was offered a lift home by someone who lives on the other side of the Meadows. The change to my return journey left me feeling quite discombobulated which was not what I was expecting- it must have been the early return to the house that was the cause.

It’s been another outside day interspersed with various outings to collect some shopping. Fingers crossed that this weather survives the weekend.
