Happy 80 Anniversary of VE Day, blip friends. It is a momentous celebration.

If Mum was alive, today she would be 97 years old. She was 17 when the first VE Day was declared.
Sadly, she passed away 14th May 2021. I missed her so much today. She loved national celebrations.
I feel sad too for those who lost loved ones who fought in the war, so we could live in freedom. They were so heroic and we owe them our prayers and gratitude.

Paul and me had a peaceful homely day and a visit to the Garden Centre in the afternoon. We needed more multi compost, garden canes and a wall basket. We enjoyed browsing the plants in the warm sunshine.

When we returned home, I planted five pots of nasturtiums called Firebird.

I am enjoying a cheese and egg ranch salad with a gorgeously chilled glass of non alcoholic sauvignon blanc blush.
