Interesting roofs

We caught the bus from the campsite for another day out, several stops on from yesterday, and enjoyed a number of hours in Stow-on-the-Wold. There was a lot to explore, including a street market where we made a few food purchases. We were spoilt for choice of places to have lunch, eventually settling on Lucy’s where Bertie was provided with sustenance (water and a treat) as well as us (Cotswold rarebit on crumpets). While wandering around, we struck up a conversation with a stonemason who was doing a super job of replacing some very old and crumbling blocks of Cotswold stone on a shop frontage with pristine sharp, smooth new blocks. I’m kicking myself for not thinking to photograph his work as I was fascinated by the difference between the old and the new.
