Going Potty!
I had a morning off today! No commitments so we set off to what used to be the Ruiken Glen Garden centre near Blackness. It has had a huge makeover over the summer and is barely recognisable, except for the cafe!
I'd been in before, a couple of weeks ago, but we thought we'd try the cafe this time. The garden/plant area seems much the same, but the shop has been hugely expanded. One thing I didn't like though was the distance between the plants/garden area and the tills. The official route winds you right through the shop, not easy if you are pushing a trolley with heavy bags on compost on it.
I had hoped the restaurant would change and have a menu similar to the Caulders at Kinross but sadly not. It was very busy though.
In the end we took ourselves to Mannerstons next door, which was blessedly quiet. I did however remember to buy myself some sweet pea seedlings.
I spent this afternoon in the garden mainly refreshing and replanting the pots. I've got about a third done now. They always look so good when they've been cleared out and freshened up. I've got lots of little pots of Marjoram/Oregano and Chives to stick on the wall in a couple of days once they've recovered from being transplanted.
My gooseberry bush has one - 1! tiny gooseberry on it so I thought I'd better blip it as an extra just in case!
Thanks for the sympathy for the foot yesterday, I'm going for a couple of other tests to check circulation etc to see if that may be what is causing my cramps.
Gads, this getting old nonsense is so time consuming.....and expensive, my shoe wardrobe is going to have to be completely restocked!
