Abstract Thursday - ‘Shiny’
A fairly standard Thursday morning for me, starting with the service at St Luke’s and then over the road to The Exchange for teas and coffees. After that I walked up to the jewellers to give them a cheque for the three memorial plaques they engraved. Then into the hardware store to buy a small tin of Satinwood paint and some brushes, having decided to paint the outside of the bedroom door before the new carpet is laid (the door opens inwards, and I’m terrified of paint getting spilt on it). Once home I sent a text to Debbie, one of my cleaners, to cancel them for the rest of May. There’s just too much stuff all over the place for them to do a proper clean, especially now I’ve finished emptying out the two old pine wardrobes ready for the charity to collect them tomorrow, which has added to the utter mayhem in the other bedroom, kitchen, hall and lounge.
Many thanks to Ingeborg for hosting the Abstract Thursday challenge, with this week’s theme of ‘Shiny Abstract’. As today was the 80th anniversary of VE Day, the end of the 2nd World War in Europe, I’ve incorporated a little red, white and blue into the shininess.
