Jerpoint and Thomastown
The weather continued to be glorious today. We drove to nearby Jerpoint Abbey which was founded in the 12th century. Fascinating to see how much detail remains in the carvings from back then and from the centuries after that. Then over to Thomastown to have a wander and find Z's old college where she studied for a crafts degree in Grennan Mill Craft College back in the 1990s. A busy and friendly place Thomastown, a petrol pump still roadside in the town centre, which I haven't seen in a very long time. A few extras from there and Kilkenny. .
