Brayford
This morning, when making my morning coffee I discovered that the milk was more like cottage cheese, so I had to go out to the Coop. I also bought a coffee from their Costa machine as I knew the one I'd brewed at home would be cold when I got back with the milk!
Later I had to go out again to the post office to send off some mail, but I couldn't find my door keys anywhere. I had a vague memory of putting them on top of the back room cupboard, which I use to store things I need when leaving the house. I call it my launch pad!
But they weren't there, or any other place I thought they could realistically be. I looked in a few unrealistic places too, just in case. I thought I must have left them in the door again and someone must have taken them.
Of course I daren't leave the house! I messaged Brian and said we'd have to get new locks. Minstrel sat on my lap for a sleep and I watched an episode of Vera.
Later I had another look for the keys and noticed something dangling between the cupboard and the sofa in the back room. I think Minst must have knocked them off the cupboard and the end of a big, old fashioned looking key had caught on the straps of a bag. I'd checked the top of the bag earlier, and the floor below where it was but must have missed the keys somehow. I was very glad to find them anyway.
I still needed a Blip and Brian hadn't got one either, so once he was home from work we walked into town and down by the Brayford. We ended up shopping in Heron too ..
