Fish & chip supper

Isn’t it just typical, we had a great night, our team is through to the final in Bilbao in 2 weeks time…..their performance put us through the wringer until the 70th minute when it all changed :-)) Had a couple of drinks & a meat & potato pie supper with red cabbage…….. all very enjoyable. Unlike C who crashed out at 2am I was wide awake until after 5 :-(

Eventually went into the other room & did drop off….. bin men woke me at 8! Went back into my room, managed to fall asleep only to be woken up by someone ringing my doorbell at 10am :-/ normally I’d be up but was still so tired…… didn’t manage to get back to sleep, guess I got 5 hrs tops!

Nevertheless it didn’t spoil our day out to Skipton. Son N & his wife bought me a Virgin Experience for Mother’s day last year.
Today was the day we’d booked our evening sail aboard The Dalesman canal barge for a fish & chip supper out of Skipton Marina.

We had a lovely few hours, before the cruise, then an enjoyable 2 hours leisurely pootling @ 4mph on the Leeds Liverpool Canal.

The drive afterwards to Lincoln was tedious, Sally sat nav took us all round the houses, arrived at C’s at 10.35pm ……. a long but very enjoyable day :-)
