We decided to use the time we were away and have the builders give a concrete path along the east side of the house, and around to the back. The first step up from the ground was uncomfortably high. As well as making that part of the path a little higher, we asked for them to use large blue floor tiles (left over from when we expanded the laundry in the beach house.
