Crossed wires or wires crossed

The sky drew my attention as I finished another walk transformed into a jog by running more than walking. Earlier on I had stopped because of seeing a couple of Piwakawaka (fantails) flying up and down with occasional pauses. I tried to get a photo of them when the paused in their interaction, but they were still for barely a couple of seconds. The sky does not change so quickly.
