Walking to Northleach
Ivy and I set off to Northleach this morning and I just had to stop and take a blip of this wonderful laburnum tree at the top of our lane. Then as we passed my friend Lorna's house, she was in the garden and decided on such a beautiful morning to join us.
This afternoon we went down to Northleach again for the VE Day fete. We had hoped to enter Ivy into the Prettiest Female category of the dog show but we were too late! However, I then rashly decided we'd enter the Musical Sit competition! Every time the music stopped (which you could hardly hear) your dog had to sit. I went armed with lots of little treats and Ivy did really well. Out of a class of about 12 we were in the last five standing (or sitting!) before being eliminated. Our community choir also sang the same WWII songs again that we'd done on Thursday evening.
Blipper fitzbilly has posted a really nice photo of Enid Sly, our local 'national treasure' who is 102 and as bright as a button. https://www.blipfoto.com/entry/3367898174839590661
