Ring Making

For her 30th birthday we bought our girl a make your own ring workshop. Today was the day. She had roped me into coming with her. I'm so glad she did.

We had the best of fun, hammering, pressing, filing, sawing, soldering, pickling, and tumbling. We are both beyond delighted with our results. They are far better than we expected.

Amanda was the teacher, along with Cameron. They were great to be around. Amanda was excited by everyone's ideas and expanded them by offering simple suggestions to elevate them. My ring is in the extras.

I wonder how soon it will be before I want my own soldering kit and mandrel! My girl was hooked, and I can see this will be an easy option for birthdays or Christmas.
