Beauty is all around us.

Red Geranium.

The Feast Day of Saint Antoninus of Florence. Died 1459. He was very brave and helped people during the earthquake of 1453.

Today was 23c indoors and 90f in the conservatory. Paul likes the hotter temperature but I prefer the cool evenings.
I went out to buy a 40th birthday card and badge for Philip, a friend from the Christian Fellowship. I have known his family since we moved to Rishton in 1989. They used to have a Christian bookshop on the High Street called Oasis. It was like a drop in centre for a coffee, scones and a good chat. It became a computer repairs shop.

I watered the garden after pulling up several bulbs that had finished flowering a week or two ago.
The blackbird has been singing joyfully.

Paul and me drove to Tesco to do our weekend shopping. It was nice and cool in there but the muzak was not to my taste. In the car park, there was a fire engine and team, doing car washes to raise funds for their charity. The problem was, it created a queue that blocked cars trying to exit the car park.

My daughter was at a car boot sale in Leeds and managed to buy a Keith Melling framed painting for one pound. A fantastic find.

It is tea time now. I am watching Father Brown.

I hope you had a splendid Saturday and happy times.
