Portugal. Porto day 1

A day of being a tourist.
Admired the tiles at the Sao Bento railway station, absolutely stunning. A quick pastry and coffee en route to Igreja do Carmo, the twin churches separated by the narrowest house in Porto. Apparently built to keep the monks and Nuns separated. Then to to join the queue for the Livraria Lello bookshop. The mass of people was worth it, the architecture was stunning.  Then down to the river Douro and a wander over the Loui 1 bridge.

We walked along the riverside and wound our way back up to a cafe and indulged in Portuguese cheese and a glass of wine. Then up the Clerigos church tower to take in the views. Wow, what a lovely city.
