Special delivery

We took the birthday cake to Ken this morning. He seems very pleased with it! It’s his 90th birthday, and he is an inspiration to those of us who sometimes feel tired or worn out at a much younger age!!
I returned home to a calmer situation with the beehives. I have united the swarm with one of the weaker hives, and added a frame with eggs to the angry hive in case they have no queen. If that’s the case, they can now make themselves a new queen.
And finally I managed to spend some time planting out some seedlings although the ground is really baked dry. Hopefully with a bit of care they will establish.
