Wall Browns in Fife

I first saw, photographed, and reported a wall brown in August 2023 on the Fife coast between Kirkcaldy and Kinghorn ( https://www.blipfoto.com/entry/3142232149218821595 ).
Later that year, another was seen half a mile from the first but I didn't get a photo.

2024 was a bad year in general for butterflies so I was not surprised when I saw none that summer.

All is different this year as this afternoon I found at least five of them between the two sites half a mile apart.  Two at the first location and then definitely three, possibly four at the second.

The wall, or wall brown, Lasiommata megera, seems to have established itself well on this section of the Fife Coastal Path.  Seen here on thrift.  Closed wings and showing underside in 'extra'.
