River Beaches

With all these sunny days it's been forest walks for Arlo each day with a river on the way but today we did the full walk by a river (North Esk). We've walked halfway from Springfield to Roslin Glen before, and half way from Roslin Glen to Springfield before, but the full walk there and back again is about 2.5 hours (including playtime) and it hasn't squeezed into our busy schedule yet. As Mrs C was off to the shops, she dropped us off at Springfield and Arlo and I walked to Roslin and got picked up, result! 

We had several stops by little beaches which Arlo loves, although at the first one there was a deep bit covered in leaves and Arlo jumped in thinking it was the beach and got soaked... he only chooses to go half way in, not all the way... at least it cooled him down. It was a lovely walk, sun shining through the trees and bluebells everywhere.
