Roll With It

The Day Before

Travelling again, Sam and I had a cooked breakfast before loading our holdalls into the car and setting off mid morning for Woking in Surrey and our hotel.
Not a bad journey in the sunshine but it’s not until you want a coffee that you notice that all the high street coffee brand outlets are on the opposite side of the road so we were two thirds of the way there before we stopped at a farm shop for a coffee.
We at the hotel in arrived in Woking to find Joshua reserving one of only two of the hotels car parking spots by standing in it.
Checked in and unpacked we headed for the inevitable coffee. Woking has changed since my youth, now virtually every shop is inside one of two large shopping malls.
Having dropped some bits and pieces of shopping we headed to Wetherspoons for ‘cheap eats’. A couple of hours later we were joined by my nephew George.
Three and a half hours later, after a really enjoyable evening and catch up we headed back to the hotel, long day tomorrow.

Wetherspoons always seem to have interesting bits and pieces as decoration on display, this is from today’s.
