Gently down the stream

Yellow Archangel

Lamiastrum galeobdolon

...taken this morning near the Nun's Stream.  I had gone out early round the reserve but there were too many runners for any kind of peace (for me or the birds) so I gave up on that and went in a different direction. Still, I was happy to spot this yellow archangel.  I've seen it a reasonable amount round here but once again it's a wildflower I don't remember at all from my childhood, which for me makes it slightly exotic.  And it's been another wall-to-wall sunshine day. which encourages us all to be happy, I think!

The rest of the day's been same-old, so I won't bore you with the details, except to say there's been a brimstone feeding on my lilac in the garden - so who needs Magdalen Hill?  Talking of which, thank you for your very kind reaction to yesterday's blip.  And just a reminder that at midnight tonight WildFlowerWeek rolls over to #WFW25_05. In a minute I'll put a note on the Challenges page.

Take care and have a lovely evening  xx
