Ruffled Feathers

Blue skies and sunshine again, lovely and warm all day.  It had been fairly breezy though.

Up fairly early for a Sunday, some chores done around the house.  Picked up friend Julie, we headed down to Sumburgh for a walk with the dogs.  Poor Sammy didn't manage far.  Popped by mam's for lunch.  Hated being inside, but more chores needed done this afternoon, felt a waste of a good day.  The Shetland Bus boat, Andholmen N-97-BØ arrived in Scalloway at teatime, first time in 80 years.  Hopefully get better snaps of her tomorrow.   She appears on the Shetland Bus Memorial.  Working in the shop this evening, then hopefully early to bed.

We parked near the top at Sumburgh Head, to ease the strain on Sammy.  He enjoyed his sniff around, still keen on an adventure.  Sadly for him, his eyesight can't see far, he missed out on seeing the puffins.  There weren't many sitting on the cliffs today, but plenty flying about, heading in and out with food.  This peerie puffin was resting, but need a good stretch and sort the feathers out.  Taken at Sumburgh Head.
