A blip snap with Inkface
So far I’m getting no relief from the morphine. The knee seems to get worse every day.
However it has been a lovely and sunny so I’ve been reading in the garden and have finished Martin Amis’s “Experience”. It’s mainly about his teeth issues and his father.
Poor Mr C has been sanding the doors in the bathroom. The cowboys the insurance company sent after the flood had not sanded before putting on cheap emulsion which has come off in fine dust. He’s going to have another go tomorrow to get down far enough to get some purchase for the primer.
He’s being so kind about my immobility. When I told him about the art book (of last night’s talk) being £40 therefore not purchased he’s been on-line and ordered one for me at £26. I’m lucky to have had him in my life for 58 years. So I’ll forgo getting in the bath with Jack Reacher for awhile longer.
I made a ginger and pistachio chocolate thing for tomorrow’s book group I’m hosting. They like afternoon tea. I’ll bake some scones in the morning and make some cucumber and crème cheese sandwiches. I had a bit of carrot cake in the freezer so that should be enough.
