Morning Visitor

As I was filling the kettle for breakfast this arrived on the window.
It was obviously happy there as it was still there at lunchtime.

I removed some of the weed from the pond this morning (we have a lot of water-louse in there) and then topped it up .... although I am going to have to think about changing the liner later this year as it is breaking up.
I also washed the car - again! Damned birds. I confirmed that we have both Starlings and Sparrows in our eves (other job for later in the year) but it is not them crapping messing on the car - their flight path on leaving is the wrong direction and the 'splatter pattern' is from those leaving the houses over the road.

We went over to the bottle banks where the ignorance and laziness of people had my blood boiling. Why make the trip there and then just leave the carrier bags full of bottles in front of the containers? ..... and even worse - leave piles of broken crockery an plant pots etc ..... and clothes!

I got a message to say that my order was ready to be collected at Screw-Fix .... a hand axe, a felling axe and a wood 'splitter'. I didn't need the felling axe but it was as cheap to get the 3 items as a 'set' as it was for the hand axe and 'splitter' so it was a no brainer.
