Since we've been together
Quite a perfect day to be honest, apart from the sheer exhaustion.
We got up and headed to the allotment. I planted carrots, Si replanted the Parsnips. I got sad about my Leeks. The best of which also died today.
I watered everything, again. We put a netting over the frame Si erected to stop the squirrels eating the sweet corn when it grows.
I was exhausted. I said "I have to sit down, I'm going to fall down". Friday night has done me in.
We came home. I repotted a whole raft of Cosmos. I think I have 50 plants. I also have about 50 Sweet pea too. As usual the more unusual ones I have planted have come to zilch. Good job i love cosmo and sweet peas.
Then we showered and went and got some shopping. I saw folk today, in the supermarket, who I was friendly with in my youth. In fact I used to play pool with the guy on the checkout. I want to believe that it is my girlish youthful looks that is rendering me unfamiliar to them. It has to be that. Because they all look so horrifically OLD, I can't possibly be of an age with them.
We came home, and I painted (see extra) I dont go way out there, I'm just playing, but I do find it incredibly relaxing.
Whilst I painted, Si did indeedy make me my flower drying out frame, it's exactly like the one we spotted in Calton last Saturday, except mine didn't cost anything, and was fashioned with love. I adore it. I hope my lovely Alium and Cosmo dry out beautifully. It almost killed me to cut the Alium.
And now, I'm going to sit down and have a cuppa tea, and prepare for bed. Cause I need to get back to work to behave myself.
