Dragonfly Debut

I took a break from sorting through paperwork this afternoon and sat outside the back door in the sunshine. I was surprised when this male broad-bodied chaser arrived. I love the pruinosity on his abdomen. He's the first dragonfly I have seen this year.

I walked down to the field this morning and shot a lacewing fly on a red campion. (Extras)
