A long time ago, my friends Mandy, Mark and Fiona trusted me to see a musician they had never heard of - Stephen Fearing. We all had a great evening and I’ve enjoyed looking back on this blip. 

I knew that Stephen leads tours around Ireland, and around Scotland, and hoped to catch him the next time he was in Edinburgh. Somehow the stars aligned, he was in town and had Sunday afternoon off.

Mandy and I met him for ice cream (what else?) and we had a great couple of hours. Three Canadians, same generation, joint love of folk music and travelling. I was both pleased and relieved when Stephen said he would always queue for great ice cream. Big thanks to them both for a lovely afternoon.
