A delightful start to the day with a stroll and a catch-up with the inimitable Mr Smith. Such good company! And I got to meet Joe as well; a fine young man. Thank you both. 

Later on I met a historian friend to peruse through the James VI and I exhibition. We both enjoyed it and I certainly learned a lot. 

Naturally after that we needed some ice cream…
