Concert and bloom

Todays concert started already this morning with my luxury tulips exploding into being flowers in stead of buds, as they have been for some days now. I guess the increasing warmth and sunshine has helped them on their way.

Metaphorically, that's more or less what the choir I'm helping to sound right did today. After a rather chaotic Thursday and Fridays rehearsals and runthroughs, where it sometimes sounded like the it was the first time they ever tried this song before, to a rather brilliantly, in comparison, performed concert. The blip is a song from a musical, a  French inn-scene, where they all were in costume.  Everyone was very happy afterwards and so was their friends, families and wives in the audience. Someone in the audience even told me that he thought the sound was really good, which I was particularly happy about since there has been endless problems up until now. All in all, a good experience, I must say I was surprised in the end, when everybody sharpened up and did what they should, in time with the music.
