Value for money

2 years ago I bought a pot of chives from the supermarket reduced to 10c. I immediately split it in 2 and planted in the garden. Since then I  have divided it many times and  whenever I have a gap in the flower beds I bung in a chive! I have also given away many clumps to friends.
Everyone loves alliums but I think these small cousins have just as great an appeal.
The weather forecast told me that our sunny spell was over and rain would be coming our way after lunch. I did a few gardening jobs this morning in readiness. It is now 10pm and there is no sign of any rain!
