Slug Free

It's been years since I enjoyed seeing the flowers on my Ramonda myconi intact.   Here in Wales they are usually demolished by slugs.   Mind you, it's raining as I write so tomorrow may be a different story!   I first saw Ramonda in the Pyrenees, almost thirty years ago, where it grows in shady places, usually on rocks, often under trees.  They're hardy, long lived plants, mine first featured here ten years ago.  Here's a blip someone shared of them in the wild.

A productive and fun Sunday.   This morning, after giving each dog a walk, I spent some time assembling information for the solicitors who will advise on what Ruth can and cannot do with her forthcoming inheritance.   (It effects her benefits and funded care.)    After lunch an afternoon at pottery where there was a Raku firing being run.  I tried a couple of test pieces with limited success.  This is a much more organic process and comes with assorted risks, to pots - and unwary potters if they're not careful!  In between the action I finished the glazing I started yesterday.

Home for food and a bit more admin before the evening dog walk when I just managed to beat the rain.
