Big Changes

This weekend, we learned that Farmer Bobby is planting corn. The fields have always been soy, as far back as anyone here remembers. He is farming it differently, too. He is leaving the grasses and the clover and is just seeding the field—no roundup. Our neighbor, who allows Bobby to farm the field, asked him to not use any pesticides that would harm his bees. (He has a thriving honey buisiness on his land.)
The extra is of the skid steer and brush cutter that our other neighbor rented to clear the hedgerow overgrowth on our road. We all chipped in and he did the work. Now we have an extra five feet of road and don’t have the brush scratching the paint on our vehicles. My husband helped clear the debris with the tractor.
Happy Mother’s Day!
