Heath spotted orchid

It is also known as the Moorland Spotted Orchid.
Left Amadeus before 05:30 and enjoyed one of my most memorable 4 hours of rambling, jogging, sitting, listening and generally absorbing the sights, sounds and smells of nature as it burst into the day.
The rest of the day was spent preparing Amadeus for its first journey on tarmac since September 2024.
Other than topping up the coolant everything ran smoothly.
H had a good look at it as a pre Mot inspection, just one of the tyres was showing signs of sidewall fatigue and a blockage in the screen washer bottle. Next destination was the Beaver Inn at Appledore where S joined H, Dippy and I for some rehydration and a fish supper after a stroll through the streets and a chat with my friends The “Blue Tits” who were preparing for a quick dip into the Atlantic Ocean off the RLNI slipway.
All in all an almost perfect day.
