............ Toad in the Hull (those in the UK and probably expats abroad will get the play on words of toad in the hole).
This is one of the 2010 Toad Trail toads - there were 40 of them dotted about Hull - and is at Castle Hill hospital in Cottingham, East Yorkshire.
We came home to find that Himself's Dad (almost 92)had been taken into Castle Hill hospital with a heart blockage. I found out, from my brother-in-law who is currently on holiday in New Zealand, whilst we were in Pisa airport but did not pass on the message until we arrived in UK - no point in both of us worried on the flight!
Too late to drive up there(a 200 mile round trip) so we booked an extra day for MisterWhisper in the kennels and went up early Saturday morning.
Under the circumstances he's doing really well but a heart rate of 43 is a tad low to say the least. At some point they are fitting a pacemaker this week. Micro surgery. He was in good spirits and very happy to see us.
Not the homecoming we wanted or expected. He is in the best place, though and we have a nephew (and wife) and my brother-in-law's sister-in-law (and her daughter) who are visiting daily.
