Convict Mess Hall And Kitchen

All the buildings in the Convict Precinct on Cockatoo Island were built by convicts - the barracks, military guardhouses and officers’ houses - as were other public works including the dry dock. Beautiful places with a dark history. I like the broken step at the entrance to this one. 

I’m tempted to go back on my own to look for convict graffiti - broadarrows, going by what’s online.

My brother and SIL flew back to Qld today but he’ll be back next week for a sporting comp.
