Huddersfield Organ
SUNDAY
Another warm and sunny day.
First stop this afternoon was Plas yn Cefn at Cefnmeiriadog where the owners were hosting a garden party to raise funds for St Kentigern's Hospice. Classic cars, beautiful gardens, a brass band and tea and cakes.
Afterwards we stopped off at nearby St Mary's Church - the organ here was built by Conacher's of Huddersfield.
We still had time to drive over to Tudor Cottage near Colwyn Bay to see another charity open garden - ¾ acres on different levels set amongst natural rock faces with unusual and varied planting featuring cottage, scree, Japanese, shade and bog gardens. Display bedding, an abundance of colourful pots and baskets, together with quirky statues, ponds, bridges and a folly. Lovely views from upper level and more tea and cakes!
