Tirzah Harwood

I was desperate to see the Tirzah Garwood show at the Dulwich Picture Gallery. I couldn't think when else I could get there. I decided to pop down early on Sunday morning and so pleased I made the effort. 

I hadn't heard of her but her paintings, collages, prints, etchings, all were entrancing. There were several I would happily have at home. She produced her work from the '30's to the late '40's. Married to Eric Ravilious and bringing up children, she lived in his shadow. 

Very satisfying.
