The view from Ardkinglas
On what was (yet another) wonderfully warm and sunny late Spring day - we have had only 3mm of rain so far in May, and hardly any in April either) I was fortunate to be invited to visit Ardkinglas, wearing my Scottish Land Commission hat.
The estate lies at the top of Loch Fyne and there are a range of impressive things to see . I have blipped the woodland garden before, but there is much more than that including the children's nursery , a range of housing, the Tree Shop (which we have used often) and of course the fabled oysters.
The centre piece is the Lorimer designed house, and this is the view from it, taken as we had a pleasant and informative light lunch - out of doors .
It was a bonus to discover the both Virginia and David Sumsion are blippers - quite a place for a blip meet I would have thought !
