GWR…Gloucestershire & Warwickshire Steam Railway

Despite having a heritage steam railway where we live, we couldn’t resist visiting the GWR. We started our 28 mile journey at Broadway, and went to the end of the line at Cheltenham Racecourse. We stopped off at Toddington Station, to take a guided tour around the engine sheds. As you’ll see from the extras we were provided with fetching orange hi-vis waistcoats (in case we fell down an inspection pit or some such hazard).

We had a grand day enjoying the gentle pace up and down the track through gently undulating countryside, dotted with idyllic looking farms and cottages.

I can’t remember the information about the engines (apologies to my fellow blipper train enthusiasts). However, I’ve added a few extras that I took with my phone during the day.

After the thunderstorm yesterday, the weather today was perfect.
