No Longer Used

I had a meals delivery run this morning.
This was next to one of the drop-offs. I thought it better than the colour original colour because of the pure white sky (the haar hadn't cleared at this point).

After that we headed into Straiton for fuel and encountered 2 small miracles ...... we didn't get stopped at any of the traffic lights on the A71 and the By-Pass was virtually clear so we were actually able to drive at the national speed limit the whole way. I can't remember the last time that happened.

On the way home we took a diversion and stopped off at SWMBO's younger sister.
It was nice to have a cuppa, a biscuit and a natter.

There was a wander up to the pharmacy to collect SWMBO's prescription.
20 minutes to get it 'checked' before handing it over. It was made up but hadn't been checked apparently. During that time there were 4 members of staff 'working'. 1 of whom did nothing but walk from the counter, round to the back and back again. During that time there was a delivery of stuff which was placed on a shelf and not touched.. There were no other customers while we were there.
Eventually the prescription was produced and we were told that the delay was due to having to wait for the delivery.
They forget that the security mirrors work both ways and we were able to watch exactly what was going on which confirmed what we have been thinking ..... they talk bollocks and do nothing until somebody calls to collect their prescription.
We will be talking to the Health Centre and arrange to pick up our prescriptions and take them to the Pharmacy next door where their waiting time is advertised as 5 minutes (which we have witnessed on several occasions).
It may not be as convenient but it is a damned sight quicker and much less stressful.

The larder freezer has been emptied, cleaned and put in the garage as I phoned a local charity who deal with house furnishings and electrical goods etc to arrange collection, but they failed to phone back.
