Family

This was taken at a small local nature reserve on a bright and sunny morning.  A bit like today, but it is a back Blip.  Today wasn't a good photographic day for me; one of those days!  Anyway I watched this family for a while witnessing behaviour.  This looks peaceful, but at times one of the drakes, there were three, decided to reprimand the ducklings, with the ducklings seeking shelter amongst the reeds.  Eventually things calmed down and relative peace returned.
Not much water in the stream.
And yes I actually got a heron photo while I was there.  I was a bit away from it and my lens was at its maximum, but there it was head and neck poking up from the reeds.
