When two toasties and two coffees cost £27.00..........!!

I drove up to see No.2 in his studio (he picked up on my sadness last week and suggested we have a day together).  He wanted to get some art supplies so we had a drive and then went to Hackney for a sandwich.  Cool place - somewhere you would not have contemplated living 25 years ago when you could have picked up a property for peanuts?  Not now?

It was good to spend time with him and we chatted and enjoyed each other's company.  He is a good lad and I am proud of him.  

Home to find OH filling in the gaps on the patio which were blown out with the jet wash - on his knees with a bucket of mortar even though it was really hot!  Such a trouper - should have been sitting in the sun with a cold beer.

Easy dinner although jacket potatoes taking ages in the air fryer.  Chilli made at the weekend and salad.
