Car Wash

I normally leave the washing of my car to the garage when it goes in for a service, or rely on frequent rainfall to at least rinse the worst bits off.
But the current dry sunny weather has thwarted the latter option and the MOT isn’t due until July. With what looks like half a hundredweight of flies sticking to the bumper, bonnet and screen, I had no option but to break the habit of a lifetime and actually wash the car myself. There was also the threat of a hosepipe ban if the dry spell continues to consider - wouldn’t want to tackle it with just a bucket!
In the end, it wasn’t too bad. It was most enjoyable being out in the sunshine, though I had to wash the car in stages otherwise the soapy bits would dry out before I could rinse them off. Quite pleased with the end result, though I have no doubt it will be covered in flies again by the end of the week. I need to win the Lottery so I can afford to employ someone to wash it for me. Or win Euromillions and just change it for a new one when it gets dirty…
