Dry Spring
I was volunteering at Tuppenny Barn today. It was sunny and warm so I made sure I was well protected from the sun. Today we were doing more planting out of seedlings, including pointed summer cabbages. These should be delicious when fully grown. With all the warm weather lettuces are now bolting and the asparagus is growing so quickly it needs to be cut every day.
I felt quite tired when I returned so spent the remainder of the day sorting out young plants into water filled containers and shady spots in the garden. Then I watered the rest of the garden and walked Merlin with Andy. These ariculas are doing well despite the warmth.
It’s now getting a little cooler outside and I can hear the birds singing in the peaceful evening.
